Due to the amount of rain predicted and the potential it has to lead to icy and dangerous conditions, I have made the decision to cancel ski bus for today.
Please understand that the decision to cancel is never an easy one and is not made lightly. My first concern is student safety and my second concern is student enjoyment. Because Icy snow can be dangerous, and rainy and icy conditions are not fun, I didn't want our first trip to end up with most students waiting in the lodge for 3 hours, students getting wet and miserable, or potential ice related injures. For today, please make arrangements to pick up your gear by 4:00 pm tonight. If arrangements cannot be made to pick up your gear, it can be stored in my class room (904) until arrangements can be made. I have scheduled the make up for February 14th. I am sorry for those of you who are disappointed but know that I have your safety and enjoyment in mind. Please email me if you have any questions -Amy Johnson [email protected]

If you are at the main campus, or you were unable to attend yesterday's meeting, you can pick up your ski bus packet in either main office.
The white packet is for you to keep and the blue packet is your application packet for you to return to the office. Please make sure to use your SCHOOL email address! Any applications that are incomplete will not be entered into the lottery. Important Dates: The deadline for applications is Wednesday October 17th. I will draw 50 names the night of the 17th and email those students on the 18th and 19th. You will then have until Wednesday the 24th to pay your fee. If your fee is not payed by that deadline, I will draw another name in your place and they will be given until the following Wednesday to pay their fee. There will be a ski club information meeting on Wednesday October 3rd during the first half of power hour in room 904 at the Freshman campus.
After the meeting, forms will be available online and for pick up in the Freshman Campus Office. Main campus students can pick up forms from the main campus office starting at 7:10 am on Wednesday October 3rd/ Welcome and thank you for checking out our website. I am currently working on updating the Ski & Board Club packet and will post that here on October 3rd along with information on how to join Ski & Board Club.
Much of the information in the packet has changed, so if you already printed last years packet it will not be accepted and you might risk losing a spot on the bus if you do not turn in this years packet. INFORMATION AND PACKET WILL BE POSTED ON OCTOBER 3rd I'm sorry to report that the Summit at Snoqualmie is CLOSED for tomorrow (January 25th 2018) due to utility problems. A make up date will be scheduled.
From the Summit at Snoqualmie Site: January 24, 2018: IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT AS OF 9:30PM: The Snoqualmie Pass Utility District has given us an update regarding our water supply. Unfortunately, we are now looking at a prolonged outage of water supply for both The Summit as well as Snoqualmie Pass. With no water to operate our facilities, we will have to remain closed on Thursday for day and night operations. Again, we will not be open for skiing and snowboarding on Thursday, January 25, 2018. This is an unfortunate and complicated situation not only for The Summit at Snoqualmie and our guests, but also - and most importantly - for the residents of Snoqualmie Pass, all of whom are currently without potable water. Snoqualmie Pass Utility District crews are working through the night and into tomorrow to resolve the water outage situation, and we will update you all as soon as we know more. The entire Summit crew is here to provide skiing, snowboarding, Nordic and tubing activities and it is disappointing when we're not able to do so. We do appreciate everyone's patience as we await more information and updates regarding the water situation and we all look forward to getting up and running again as soon as possible. As always, please check back to our website for all updates. Thank you! Students who attend 1st period at the main campus will drop off their gear in the storage room near the band room, this includes freshman who have 1st period at the main campus. After school, those freshmen will need to take the school busses to the main campus, pick up their gear, and board the ski bus from the main campus.
All freshmen who attend 1st period at the freshman campus will drop off their gear in the storage room behind the AVID room. Signs will be posted to help freshman find this room. Parents will not be permitted to drive behind the school. Please drop off students in the student drop-off loop and have students walk around the school to the storage room. Before getting on the buses, freshmen may leave any school bags they don’t want to take to the pass in Ms. Hecox’s room (904). Remember student's who do not have a helmet or have not signed up for the Remind App will not be allowed on the bus. Please be at the Freshman Campus bus loop/gazebo by 2:30 Thursday afternoon, or at the Main Campus gazebo by 2:45 Thursday afternoon. Thursday February 16th is Club photo day! Don't forget to wear your best gear!
Snoqualmie pass is currently closed in both directions between Cle Elum and North Bend. Although conditions may improve, for the sake of the charter company, and students whose parents would not me available to pick up their gear after school, I have canceled ski club for today.
There will be a make up trip after Mid-Winter break. I will announce the date of that trip later this week. If you start at the Main campus, please drop your gear off before school in the custodian storage room near the band room. If you do not know where this is, please see the front office for directions. Freshman starting at the Main Campus will need to take the main school busses to the main campus after school, get their gear, and wait to be picked up from the main campus.
If you start and end at the freshman campus your drop off is before school in the staff lounge. I have included a map below. Please see the front office for directions. After school, get your gear, and then meet at the bus loop by 2:30pm. DO NOT FORGET YOUR HELMET. YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED ON THE BUS WITHOUT ONE. PARENT PICK UP: We plan on returning bewteen 7:45-8:00 pm. We will stop at the Freshman Campus first, and then continue to the main campus. You may pick up your student at either campus, just make sure to comunicate with them so they know where to get off of the bus. My suggestion is the freshman campus so that you don't have to deal with the construction changes at the main campus. It looks like I was able to secure the larger bus which means that I can accept all 50 students who applied for ski and board club. You will soon be getting an email, to your student email acount telling you that you got in and outlining the next steps you need to take. This email will also let you know if there are any aditional costs due to the larger bus. I am working with the transportation department to determine if I need to charge more than the $90 to pay for the larger bus. If this is the case, it will likely be $10 per student, making the total fee an even $100. (This sounds like a lot more, but we are still charging less than the other schools offering similar services.)
